2Money ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.

Data Collection

We do not collect any personal or financial data.

All financial data you enter into 2Money (accounts, transactions, categories, budgets) is stored locally on your device. We have no access to your financial information.

Data Storage

• All data is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework
• Optional iCloud sync stores data in your personal iCloud account (not our servers)
• Backup files you export are saved to locations you choose

Analytics & Crash Reporting

2Money uses Firebase services to improve app stability and quality:

• Crashlytics: Collects crash reports to help us fix bugs
• Analytics: Collects anonymous usage data (e.g., which features are used)
• Performance: Monitors app performance metrics

Important: These services do NOT have access to your financial data, transaction amounts, account balances, or any personal financial information. Only technical data about app usage and crashes is collected.

On-Device Features

Several features process data entirely on your device:

• Voice input: Uses Apple's Speech Recognition framework to transcribe transactions. Audio is processed by Apple on-device or via Apple's servers — we never receive your audio or transcriptions
• Siri & Shortcuts: App Intents let you add transactions and check balances via Siri. All processing happens through Apple's frameworks on your device
• Spotlight search: Transactions and wishlist items are indexed locally so you can find them via iOS Search. This data stays on your device
• Widgets & Live Activities: Home screen widgets display summary data read from local storage. No data is sent externally

Network Access

2Money connects to the internet for:

• Exchange rates: Fetching currency exchange rates from public APIs
• iCloud sync: If enabled, syncing your data through your iCloud account (not our servers)
• Firebase: Sending crash reports and anonymous usage data

No financial data is transmitted to our servers or any third parties.

Security

2Money offers these security features:

• Passcode protection (stored securely in iOS Keychain)
• Face ID / Touch ID authentication
• Private mode to hide sensitive information

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time:

• Use "Delete All Data" in Settings
• Delete the app from your device
• If using iCloud sync, delete from iCloud settings

Children's Privacy

2Money does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is intended for general audiences managing personal finances.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
